How can we best capture through photography what it means to go to an airport? Airports act as portals to another world, to another experience. They offer hope, evoke fear, curiosity, joy, awe. Airports display some of the best technology humans have to offer. They house machines that take us  into the air and across water, ice and land. Airports are also a heroic display of mans ability to organise with complex tickets systems, information boards and spatial set pieces that are found nowhere else on earth. Architecture Academy invites participants to capture what it means to go to an airport. More specifically, what it means to go to Heathrow Airport.
